Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was grabbed as she ran through a Cambridge park.

The victim was running along Coldham's Common, heading away from Abbey Stadium, at about 10.20am on Saturday (May 14) when a man grabbed hold of her.

She screamed and the man cycled off towards Coldham's Lane on a green mountain bike. The victim described seeing the offender 20 minutes earlier.

He is described as white, about 5'8'', between 30 and 40, tanned with dark, cropped, receding hair.

He was wearing a dark long-sleeved top, blue trousers and was carrying a black bin bag.

PC Rachel Loveridge, investigating, said: "I would appeal to anyone who saw a man matching the description around the time of the offence to contact police."

Anyone with any information should call PC Loveridge on 0345 456 456 4 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111
