Camsar: Roles within the Charity

Cambridgeshire Search and Rescue (CamSAR) was founded on the 1st August 2006 to provide trained search and rescue technicians to Cambridgeshire Constabulary in the search and recovery of vulnerable missing persons. A vulnerable missing person could be a child, an elderly person suffering from dementia or even someone who is considering taking their own life, in each case and many others, an emergency response is vital. CamSAR also provides Category Two Response to the East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) and Cambrideshire Fire and Rescue Services (CFRS) along with Civil Contingency Support services to the Emergency Planning departments of various local authorities in Cambridgeshire. Steve Tibbs

Steve Tibbs is a newly qualified Team Leader. He leads the Moutain Bike team and is trained in kayak search.

Jubilee People?s Millions Contest

Young Lives has been named by The Big Lottery Fund, as one of only six finalists in the Anglia region?s Jubilee People?s Millions contest. If successful we will receive £60,000 in Lottery funding for our project ?Get Creative, Get Afloat? to purchase a steel barge and undertake a conversion project to change it into a state of the art multimedia facility for young people. Bridges To Belarus

Bridges to Belarus was set up in January 2005 to help children and families affected by the 1986 Chernobyl disaster. Bridges to Belarus has developed a programme with local organisations where the children and families are supported with items and essential equipment ? such as basic food and clothing, school equipment, prams, beds, cookers, washing machines, furniture and plaster for walls.
