Camsar: Roles within the Charity
Cambridgeshire Search and Rescue (CamSAR) was founded on the 1st August 2006 to provide trained search and rescue technicians to Cambridgeshire Constabulary in the search and recovery of vulnerable missing persons. A vulnerable missing person could be a child, an elderly person suffering from dementia or even someone who is considering taking their own life, in each case and many others, an emergency response is vital. CamSAR also provides Category Two Response to the East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) and Cambrideshire Fire and Rescue Services (CFRS) along with Civil Contingency Support services to the Emergency Planning departments of various local authorities in Cambridgeshire.
